No. The YouTube app can't be filtered on a phone that isn't rooted, and AshtaLok doesn't claim otherwise. Share a video to AshtaLok's private browser instead, and it plays there without ads.
It uses Android's VPN setting so it can run on your phone, but it doesn't send your traffic to an AshtaLok server or change your location.
No blocker does, and AshtaLok won't claim to. It blocks ads and trackers from the servers on its lists and yours, and shows you each block.
When testing on each platform is finished. There's no release date yet.
